· Work closely with the Buyer/Planner, manage the daily operations of the night Production Shift.
· Communicate with team members and provide direction, assistance, and guidance regarding all department operations.
· Maintain superior customer service levels with both internal and external customers.
· Production planning and inventory management
· Coach and lead teammates to achieve performance, qualify and service goals.
· Cultivate positive and innovative work environment,
· Identify and analyze areas for cost reduction or margin improvement.
· Ensure compliance company policies, procedures, and practices.
· Strive for continuous improvement.
· Administrative duties related to production, shipping and qualify performance.
· 2-4 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
· 1-4 years' experience in direct supervision in a manufacturing environment.
· 4-year college degree in food science or related field and/or commensurate job experience.
· Strong interpersonal, communication and team building skills.
· Able to direct a diverse workforce.
· Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
· Through understanding of production planning, scheduling, and purchasing and cost analysis.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access.
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Critical thinking, analytical and detailed oriented preferred.
· Understanding of manufacturing regulations regarding safety, quality, HACCP, BRC and GMP's.
· Ability to analyze cost performance data to improve operations and reduce costs.
· Able to work evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
