New Horizon Co-op is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator at our Resource Office in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

What you'll do:


  • Drive the onboarding function and work collaboratively across the whole organization to ensure all onboarding and mandatory training is up-do-date and properly tracked
  • Facilitate new hire orientation at various locations
  • Create and distribute various HR communication materials such as monthly newsletters, health and wellness bulletins and miscellaneous staff announcements/updates
  • Maintaining of the HRIS system files
  • Champion of employee recognition including service awards
  • Assist with talent acquisition, including the posting of job openings
  • Support the HR department with administrative tasks, including but not limited to, document production, data entry and scanning
  • Support various HR projects and development of resources
  • Perform additional duties as required

      Who you are and what you have:

      • 1-2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator or Assistant
      • Valid driver's license
      • High level of professionalism
      • Effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills
      • Advanced computer knowledge and skills working with HRIS and Microsoft Office software
      • Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities
      • Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information
      • A degree or diploma in Human Resources is an asset
