In this role, you will:

Be responsible for Inventory Control activities in support of Babcock's rotary wing operations. You will work alongside the Senior Aviation Supply Chain Specialist and assist in the identification and movement of specialized and non-specialized aviation parts, materials and equipment required and utilized in the maintenance of AW169 rotary wing aircraft operated in support of BC Emergency Health Services operations. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory stock levels using CAMP software.
  • Receiving parts and material into stock using approved processes.
  • Ensuring the quarantine of non-conforming aircraft parts and materials.
  • Packaging and shipping material and tools in support of aircraft operational and maintenance schedules.
  • Monitoring parts and material including dangerous goods; and preparing shelf-life control reports.
  • Delivering and returning parts and material to and from the warehouse.
  • Working with the Aviation Engineering team.
  • Working with external couriers and freight companies to collect packages from stores for distribution to other bases and suppliers.
  • Ensuring Aircraft on Ground items are prioritized, and delivery arrangements finalized.
  • Reporting all safety hazards or concerns through the Safety Management System (SMS) system.
  • Participating in all training as assigned including but not limited to Human Factors, Ladder & Lifting, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
  • This position will be in an on-call rotation after business hours.

The ideal candidate brings:

  • You have at least a high school diploma or equivalent (a Degree/Diploma in a related field would be considered an asset).
  • You have two to three (2-3) years of experience in an Inventory Management environment in an Aviation setting
  • You have experience in the following areas:
    • Methods and practices used to receive, store, issue, transport, and distribute material
    • Data entry
    • Stock control and inventory management
    • Control of Documentation
    • WHMIS training an asset (annual training is provided)
  • You are a positive, resilient, and focused individual.
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • You are eligible for an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and ITAR Clearance.
