Reports To: Manager, Retail Operations

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Merchandiser is responsible for monitoring product levels and restocking the store and kiosks before and after game days. This position assists the Merchandise and Inventory Supervisor and supports all product responsibilities. The Assistant Merchandiser may also be required to work in other aspects of the day-to-day operations as required such as in the Team Store, warehouse, and concerts.

A typical shift includes:

  • Ensuring the Team Store and kiosks are replenished effectively with all product and proper size runs to optimize sales
  • Merchandising product in accordance with company standards and visual direction given by the Manager, Retail Operations
  • Merchandising Arena Kiosks in accordance with each game/event plan
  • Supporting and monitoring all markdowns and inventory counts
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of kiosks, store, and warehouse
  • Providing regular feedback to the department regarding areas that can be improved upon
  • Supporting team store functions as required such as servicing customers, floor coverage, heat press, etc.
  • Supporting warehouse functions such as receiving and ticketing of new products
  • Supporting concert preparation such as kiosk set up, product counts, merchandising, etc.
  • Other duties as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A secondary school diploma and at least one year of retail work experience
  • Previous merchandising experience
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and independently
  • Enthusiastic, professional, self-motivated, and eager to learn more about the retail industry
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with a friendly and professional manner
  • A commitment to service excellence
  • Flexible with ability to adapt easily to changing priorities and schedules
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Non-Canadian residents must hold a work permit that expires no later than January 2025
  • This is an onsite role at Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver
