Position: Suite Cashier

Department: Hospitality

Reports to: Assistant Manager, Suites

It has been a long time since we have hosted fans at Rogers Arena, and we are excited to create memorable moments for our fans and guests once again. We are now inviting enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join our event staff team and be part of the excitement during Canucks games, Warriors games, and concerts at Rogers Arena. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Suite Cashier is responsible for processing, balancing, and reporting of cash receipts during events. The incumbent will assist with preparation of the Point of Sale (POS) systems in the suites pantries, balancing event orders, and other related cash functions. This is an hourly, part-time, events-based position. A typical shift includes:

  • Billing for all event orders and entering same day event orders
  • Charging invoices to the correct account or credit card
  • Receiving and balancing event location cash deposits
  • Balancing cash out at the end of the night
  • Distributing gratuities at the end of the event
  • Making changes on the POS system as necessary
  • Other duties as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to work flexible, event-based hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Prior cash handling and counting experience
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions as they relate to cash handling and reconciliation
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working independently with minimum supervision
  • Experience with Micros or other POS systems would be an asset
  • Non-Canadian residents must hold a valid work permit expiring no earlier than October 2022
