Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Retail Services plays an important role in achieving facility goals pertaining to customer satisfaction, quality outcomes, cost containment and revenue generation. The products and services provided by the department must be self-supporting and ensure that all associated costs of the operation are recovered. Customers of the department include patients and visitors plus medical staff and other health care providers, support staff and administrators. The revenue generated by the department provides a significant contribution to the Health Sciences Center. Designs floral arrangements and manages day to day operations of the Flower Shop.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years in Flower Shop management.
  • Minimum of five years as a Head Floral Designer.
  • Experience in Floral Wholesale an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Trade School diploma preferred.
  • Floral Design course or equivalent training.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.

Physical Requirements

  • Good manual dexterity required.
  • Position requires walking, bending, stretching and lifting/carrying/moving/pushing moderately heavy weights.
  • Compliance with workplace safety precautions required.
