Purchasing Associate

· Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price from suppliers for substitute items.

· Issuing purchasing orders and maintaining system integrity.

· Assisting a merchant with trade agreements and any cost changes.

· Working with vendors and data management team to set up new products.

· Working with Marketing team on designated projects for merchants.

· Assisting stores and distribution center with product detail inquiries.

· Managing inventory and stock if requested by a merchant.

· Providing stores with solutions on system errors when required.

· Keeping information accessible by sorting and filing documents.

· Providing purchasing planning and control information by collecting, and summarizing data and trends.

· Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

· Participating and assisting the team with special projects like planograms, line reviews, etc.

· Managing invoicing issues from vendors.

· Minimum 1-2 years of retail experience/ or Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma is an asset.

· Able to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

· Must possess a sense of urgency.

· Has a keen eye for detail.

· Experience in Excel/ Word/ Tableau (an asset).

· Possess excellent communication skills.

· Be a self-starter and have a positive attitude.
