We are looking for a Coordinator Asset Protection to ensure the safe execution of the inspection and maintenance of all Fire Protection Systems, Fire Detection Systems and Life Safety Systems across the IOC site in Labrador City. The Coordinator will guide the service provider in applying and maintaining best work practices in Safety, Cost and Performance, as it relates to the service agreements and different scopes of work.

Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Management, Energy and Site General Services, you will:
Act as the primary IOC point of contact managing the Annual Supply of Services from 3rd party service providers. This typically follows a multi-year fixed pricing contract to cover inspection and maintenance
Manage incoming Inspection Reports, Certifications, As-Built Drawings, and Operations and Maintenance Manuals, as a result of work completed by 3rd party suppliers
Have oversight of "IOC-S-E-PRO Fire Impairment Procedure" and facilitates the process across site with area representatives
Plan and oversee any required defect repair or improvement work
Contribute to IOC's Capex program by working with the service provider, area stakeholders and the Asset Management team to address issues identified with the systems that require Capital Expenditure
Assist in coordination and monitoring of the execution of planned inspections and maintenance tasks, and unplanned emergency/breakdown work when needed
Review and file all inspection reports in SAP, creating notifications for listed deficiencies from inspections for future resolution
Continuously improve on maintenance and inspection strategies, develop/improve maintenance tasks for fire protection equipment where required
Identify, prioritize and manage the elimination of deficiencies on asset protection equipment

What you'll bring
Bachelor's Degree or certification in a relevant discipline (Mechanical, Fire Technology, etc.)
Minimum 3 years of relevant maintenance planning experience
Computer literacy (Microsoft 365, SAP)
Project Management experience
Fire Protection technical background. Must be competent in the following:

RTGRF-ENG-G-01-21A Maintenance and Supervision of Fire Protection Equipment guidance note
NFPA 25 - Standard for the Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems.
