What you'll do
The Field Merchandiser is "the hub" for planning, leading and executing major Capital merchandising projects within Canadian Tire Associate stores. A working knowledge of Corporate strategies will be required to stay engaged and informed in this key role. The incumbent will establish and partner with internal/ external relationships throughout store opening projects on a timely basis and within budget. The FM will interpret established processes and timelines to plan, manage and deliver on approved project scope.
Responsible to execute impactful and consistent merchandising programs from coast to coast by training, leading and monitoring store staff on merchandising techniques and standards aligned with the core audit standards and operational excellence.

Order missing fixtures and POP during projects as required
Ensure all unnecessary fixtures & POP are returned upon project completion(before soft opening date)
Utilizing FM Portal to provide regular feedback to support Marketing & Merchandising priorities on fixtures, POP, POG's, process improvements and tools needed to execute the projects.
Communicate regularly with FMM and escalate issues when required
Maximize fixture utilization for each project & keep fixture costs to a minimum
Manager personal expenses by submitting them weekly. Ensure Options MasterCard is paid fully every month
Participate in bi-weekly conference calls with the Field Merchandise Manager
Become fully educated on the communication portal and use on a regular basis
Manage expenses according to the Corporate travel policy
What you bring
General understanding of CTC's operating standards and procedures
Strong understanding of Canadian Tire's store operating standards and procedures
Ability to travel extensively across Canada and spend time away from home
Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate others
Excellent oral and written skills
Timely decision making skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills / drive for results
Proven ability to influence and negotiate
Working knowledge of marketing and merchandising strategies
Post secondary education in Marketing a plus
