PAL Technical Services manages all aircraft maintenance activities within the PAL Group of Companies, including PAL Airlines and PAL Aerospace.


We are currently seeking a Operations Auditor/Investigator to join our team in St. John's, NL or Halifax, NS or Montreal, QC.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and complete audits and inspections for all operational groups - flight, ground and training programs
  • Conduct external audits (sub-contractors, vendors) to evaluate the overall adherence to contracts and company requirements
  • Assist in maintaining and updating detailed audit checklists for all functions and elements under the approved manuals and quality assurance program
  • Conduct activities associated with audit preparation and planning, audit performance, audit reporting, follow-up and closure
  • Develop /validate root cause analysis. Recommend corrective actions based on root cause analysis
  • Supports SMS requirements related for aviation operations
  • Participate in occurrence investigation activities for aviation operations
  • Facilitate the investigation process to identify possible contributing factors to the event being investigated and gather factual information
  • Assist in the development of short and long-term risk mitigation options to address contribution factors identified during investigation
  • Facilitate management of change assessments and track resulting action items to completion
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3-5 years' experience in commercial flight operations - pilot experience preferred
  • Previous experience of working in the safety management system of a commercial airline
  • Previous experience of auditing to meet IATA operational safety audit program requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to interpret requirements and apply to process development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft types operated and maintained by the company is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and effective time management skills
  • Must maintain a valid passport; must be able to travel domestically and internationally when required
