We are currently looking for a dynamic candidate to fill the position of Manager at our Halifax (Nova Scotia) location. This position is on a permanent full-time basis (40 hours a week), Schedules are variable according to operational needs (day, evening and week-end).

You will be responsible for the overall store operations as well as managing a team of approximately 15 employees, under the supervision of the Regional Director. You will manage all store operations in terms of sales, customer service, inventory and financial control.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize all aspects of the store operations and ensure it is constantly managed including sales, merchandising, inventory, operational processes, scheduling and salary budget/ratios;
  • Determine the appropriate strategies to achieve sales budgets and financial profitability;
  • Build an effective team throughout recruitment, orientation and training employees;
  • Communicate sales objectives , promotions and events to employees;
  • Ensure an exceptional customer service experience including coaching and development of employees utilizing our customer service program;
  • Implement corporate policies and procedures and positively manage the implementation of changes;
  • Apply store merchandising standards;
  • Through a constant presence on the sales floor, create a positive work environment encouraging and nurturing employee engagement;
  • Supervise and manage schedules and salary budgets;
  • Supervise the management of store inventories;
  • Ensure a healthy and safe work environment;
  • Be present at the community level.

The qualifications required for the role of Store Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent, or relevant experience;
  • Minimum of 5 year’s experience in retail management
  • Strong team coaching skills
  • Excellent communication, management and inter-personal skills
  • Customer oriented
  • Mastery of sales techniques;
  • Ability to multi task/ strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the retail business environment and market tendencies;
  • Bilingualism;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software and computerized inventory management system and presence on social networks; Varied week, weekend and evening hours.
