Description:

Reporting to the Provincial Sales Manager, the District Sales Manager, North West Ontario will grow Sleeman Breweries' portfolio presence in the trade, manage the North West sales team and lead the execution of district sales activities within the assigned sales district.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Achieve district sales volume, revenue, and share growth targets within the LCBO, Grocery, Convenience, TBS and OP channels
  • Provide direction and leadership to the district field sales team (8 Sales Reps & 3 Merchandisers)
  • Lead performance management of the field sales team for the district (i.e. coaching, succession planning, development)
  • Provide input to develop and lead execution of strategic plans for the district; recommend plan changes to ensure the region remains on track to achieve targets
  • Establish strong working relationships with territory customers; may be involved with key accounts, depending on region
  • Manage district sales expenses within the established budget and implement MUDA reductions
  • Work collaboratively with regional Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and HR leadership to ensure the district remains on track to deliver execution objectives
  • Remain apprised of industry trends and changes in the competitive environment
  • Report on district performance results and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Ensure all work performed by the team complies with applicable legislation
  • May manage certain key accounts depending on the region
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a consumer-packaged goods environment, including at least 2 years of leadership experience in a sales environment
  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Experience developing and executing annual sales plans
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal; strong presentation skills
  • Computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Beverage alcohol industry experience is an asset
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Working conditions:

  • Travel required; spends approximately 2-3 days per week in the field coaching staff

Relevant du directeur provincial des ventes, le/la directeur(-trice) régional(e) des ventes pour le nord-ouest de l'Ontario est responsable de la croissance du portefeuille des Brasseries Sleeman et de la gestion de l'équipe de vente de cette région. Cette personne est également responsable des activités de vente régionales du territoire assigné.

Responsabilités principales:

  • Atteindre les objectifs de la région en matière de volume, de revenus et de croissance des parts de marché pour la LCBO, les supermarchés, les dépanneurs, TBS et les établissements de consommation sur place ;
  • Assurer la gestion et l'encadrement de l'équipe des ventes du territoire assigné (8 représentants des ventes et 3 marchandiseurs);
  • Faire la gestion du rendement de l'équipe des ventes du territoire (c'est-à-dire encadrement, planification de la relève et perfectionnement);
  • Collaborer à l'élaboration des plans stratégiques pour le territoire et en diriger la mise en œuvre; recommander des modifications à ce plan afin que la région demeure en bonne voie d'atteindre ses objectifs;
  • Établir de solides liens professionnels avec les clients du territoire assigné; peut être appelé(e) à travailler sur des comptes majeurs, selon la région;
  • Gérer les dépenses de vente de la région selon le budget établi et mettre en œuvre les réductions MUDA.
  • Travailler en collaboration avec la direction des services régionaux du marketing, des ventes, de la chaîne d'approvisionnement et des RH pour veiller à ce que le territoire demeure en bonne voie d'atteindre ses objectifs d'exécution;
  • Se tenir au courant des tendances de l'industrie et des changements dans l'environnement concurrentiel;
  • Rendre compte des résultats du territoire en matière de rendement et cerner les occasions d'amélioration continue;
  • S'assurer que le travail accompli par l'équipe soit conforme aux normes législatives;
  • Peut être responsable de certains comptes majeurs selon la région;
  • Effectuer d'autres tâches connexes au besoin.

Exigences:

  • Au moins 5 ans d'expérience de la vente dans un environnement de biens de consommation courante, dont au moins 2 ans d'expérience de gestion dans un environnement de vente.
  • Études postsecondaires dans un domaine connexe;
  • Expérience dans l'élaboration et l'exécution de plans de ventes annuels.
  • Bonne capacité à établir de solides liens professionnels, tant à l'interne qu'à l'externe.
  • Capacité à communiquer efficacement, à la fois de façon écrite et verbale; excellente aptitude de présentation;
  • Compétences informatiques dont la capacité à utiliser Microsoft Office;
  • De l'expérience dans l'industrie des boissons alcoolisées serait considérée comme un atout;
  • Permis de conduire valide et dossier de conduite impeccable.

Conditions de travail:

Des déplacements sont requis; environ 2- 3 jours par semaine sur le terrain pour encadrer le personnel.
