As our IT Systems Support, you will be responsible for maintaining a stable, productive, secure, and effective systems environment for the BeautiTone Paint & Home Products Division. Led by the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, this opportunity suits someone who has excellent customer service experience and analytical skills, with prior IT system knowledge.
Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here's how:
  • Utilize Visual Studio to maintain and create applications that provide system users with information to perform their day-to-day job functions.
  • Assist all stakeholders in maintaining the current systems environment, including system users, third-party providers, and corporate staff.
  • First point of contact for information technology requests such as new user set ups, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and requests for information.
  • Generate ad-hoc queries and reporting for system users.
  • Maintain documentation of processes and procedures related to Oracle ERP system and supporting custom applications.
  • Maintain listing of system users, local computers, printers and other peripheral devices, including switch locations, network port numbers and server identifications.
  • Act as liaison for corporate information technology support when changes are required, such as network or server upgrades, or new devices are required.
  • Participate in weekly Desktop Support meetings with representatives from all Home Hardware Dealer Support Centres.
We're looking for:
  • Post Secondary education in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support.
  • Understanding of databases (Oracle, Access, SQL Server) and SQL.
  • Experience with Windows forms programming VB.Net or C#.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP system and standard modules.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to computers, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as required.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships throughout the organization.
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
