Position Summary...
This position is responsible for the janitorial services.What you'll do...
Plans and schedules custodian associates to ensure proper staffing in order to ensure the facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary way and in a cost-efficient manner.
Trains associates in the proper execution of facility upkeep activities (e.g. cleaning, maintaining internal areas of the facility, operating sweeper/scrubber.) Implements and ensures that all HACCP standards are followed and verifies the accuracy and completeness of all records/documentation activities within the work group.
Performs workplace inspections to highlight and address safety concerns.This includes walks through the workplace to ensure associates comply with safe working practices.
Reviews associate performance related to Health and Safety.Rewards for demonstrated compliance and commitment to safety.Address substandard performance.
Ensures associates are trained in Workplace Health and Safety policies, the handling of chemicals, and the HACCP standards.This includes but is not limited to WHMIS, MSDS, Emergency Evacuation, JSP's, Appropriate Workplace Behavior, etc.
Participates in the Occupational Health and Safety Competency Training for Supervisors provided by Walmart Logistics.Be familiar and ensure compliance with the Ontario Health and Safety Act with attention to Section 27.
Maintains time and attendance, productivity, and quality records daily. Prepares and generates the daily productivity report (TPR) for management.
Participates in the selection of custodian associates; implements departmental training and job rotation activities; initiates plans to motivate associates; administers performance management (coaching, progressive discipline) including the annual review process; provides development and training in all functional areas.
