What you'll do
The Operations Planning Centre is the central planning hub for Supply Chain Operations. An exciting, dynamic, team-oriented environment. The Manager of Daily Planning is responsible for the performance, development and success of a team of Operations Planners focused on creating the lowest cost, highest quality operational plans on a daily basis, seven days a week, within a critical path timeframe that achieves the goals and objectives of Canadian Tire Supply Chain.

Engage and motivate team members through effective leadership, direction, coaching, and guidance to achieve key Supply Chain service level and cost performance targets and maintain daily operations
Manage team's performance to develop consistent, high quality, daily outbound, inbound, yard and direct ship plans, within the "critical path" timeframe, meeting SLA commitments to downstream stakeholders including Distribution and Transportation, and ultimately ensuring on-time shipments to Stores
Manage Store expectations, providing information, guidance and insight into planning processes and decisions and supporting store requests on an exception basis while maintaining core planning principles and process discipline
Lead as a change agent, engaging and supporting team in the development and implementation of projects and initiatives that contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and decision making within the team and the Operations Planning Centre utilizing Lean principles and sustaining mechanisms
Lead the design, development, implementation and ongoing evaluation/improvement of the master schedule which defines all plan and delivery days for CTR stores and balances the outbound product flow through the Supply Chain.
Manage and maintain cross functional relationships through open communication and collaboration with multiple cross-functional CTC teams
Manage annual performance assessments, developmental plans and annual objectives for team members
Maintain regular meetings with AVP, Team Leads, the team as a whole and with individual team members in support of effective communications to maintain consistent standards and processes as well as to support team member performance and development
Provide a positive influence developing and maintaining a team environment, embracing and driving innovative solutions that support the performance of the team

What you bring
Ability and passion to thrive in a fast paced "critical path" operational environment supporting the team's sense of urgency to meet daily targets.
Proven leadership experience demonstrating the skills required to manage people, processes and information in a process-driven lean environment.
Continuous Improvement management skills including Agile, Lean, Project Management, Change Management and Analysis.
Highly developed verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Commitment to Customer Service utilizing excellent interpersonal and ambassadorship skills, with the ability to organize, communicate, negotiate and present information to all levels of the company.
Confidence and composure dealing with changing/conflicting priorities and making effective decisions and prioritizing quickly in a highly dynamic environment, with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
Excellent prioritization, organizational, analytical, conceptual, problem solving and execution skills.
Ability to translate Company Vision, Mission and Values into appropriate objectives, actions and direction for department and staff.
Flexibility in work hours and work days to provide leadership support for 7-day operations.
Thorough understanding of the principles of Canadian Tire Logistics, Distribution and Transportation with a minimum 5 years in a Logistics or Supply Chain related capacity.
Experience in Operations Planning, Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, Project Management an asset.
Experience with Oracle Transportation Management system an asset.
Degree in Applied Science, Business, Engineering or similar discipline.
Recognized professional designation: P.Eng, APIC's, CITT, PLog, CPIM, Lean Green Belt, SAFe, etc.
