1. Responsible for keeping the Marketplace internal systems synced and up to date with the most relevant product hierarchy architecture.
2. Will be required to manipulate large quantities of data to drive hierarchy assignment from different sources.
3. Identify and communicate product content opportunities and best practices with the Marketplace Category Managers to aid in accurate categorization and improved customer experience.
4. Provide feedback to sellers and the marketplace team by categorizing seller issues and providing feedback on specific actions that sellers can take to improve site item shelving.
5. Accountable for creating rules/logic into the back-end systems (Tango) to drive product categorization and provide ongoing updates of current state and roadmap.
6. Responsible for being the expert on Marketplace product classification within the ecommerce merchandising team and will be asked to provide education (i.e.. 'Seller Source' newsletter) to a wider audience on how to drive value and build awareness of the importance of product content.
7. Responsible for providing the Merch Ops, technology and Marketplace team with feedback on system gaps and opportunities. Build relationships with associates overseas and in the US to understand opportunities to utilize their tech support resources.
8. Collaborate with the Product Hierarchy Specialist, and content strategy team to identify any marketplace opportunities or risks to internal hierarchy changes requested.
9. Provide weekly reporting on site health and overall categorization.
