What you'll do

It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • Develops and implements instruction led, virtual or e-Learning solutions for Planning & Allocation
  • Conducts needs analysis and identify risks to project goals; provides project updates to leads/teams
  • Designs new program templates including but limited to workbooks, leaders guides, interactive PDF's, videos
  • Reviews training program delivery methods and products; assesses and makes recommendations for improvements
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for design principals and concepts; researches evidence based learning theories and applying best practices in the areas of program design and evaluation
  • Provides feedback to training and development team on program design and technology opportunities
  • Delivers in-person training, utilizing effective classroom management and facilitation techniques
  • Maintains current training materials to reflect evolving business needs, including updating/creating materials based on technology updates and impacts.
  • Collaborates and partners with Learning & Development to provide content and insight for the development of learning assets
  • Partners globally to discuss new and existing training programs, identify common skill gaps to support the development continuum. Operate as One TJX
  • Assists and/or participates on annual and special projects / committees as needed

What you'll need

To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • Minimum two (2) years TJX Canada Planning & Allocation knowledge/experience and/or minimum three (3) years in Instructional Design
  • Adult Learning or Instructional Design certificate/program completion considered an asset
  • Articulate (Storyline and RISE) experience considered an asset
  • Experience with graphics design software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) considered an asset
  • Strong demonstrated facilitation skills, both facilitating training sessions and meetings
  • Strong interpersonal skills; skilled at building relationships with varied levels of Management and Associates
  • Ability to influence action and obtain/provide information effectively and tactfully with business partners/subject matter experts
  • Issue management skills including interpersonal skills, time management, decision making/problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Problem solving skills including analysis of information (ie. project design requirements, description of problems, etc.) providing others with alternatives to problems.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring and active listening
  • Strong team orientation with focus on team success; willing and able to support other team members
  • Passion and strong belief in continuous learning

Salary Range: $58,910 - $82,472*/year

*This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
