What you'll do

The Forecast Manager will plan and direct Forecast Analyst responsibilities and activities; act as a coach/mentor, motivate staff and develop a team. This role will support the achievement of annual and seasonal plans, including inventory and service levels, working with Merchandising, Replenishment and Promo. The Forecast Manager will constantly be looking to improve the communication, understanding and accuracy of product level forecasts and inventory forecasts. As a manager this individual will have a team of high performing analysts that will receive the proper coaching, direction and communication required to perform their role.

  • Building a team of high-performing individuals, including coaching, feedback and performance management

  • Collaborating effectively with many different cross-functional teams, in a fast-paced retail/merchandising environment

  • Ensuring that consistent product-level forecasting practices and processes are adopted across your team of analysts

  • Monitoring annual/seasonal objectives and key performance indicators; identifying areas of opportunity and providing guidance on how to achieve results

  • Continually improving processes and identify the need for changes to forecasting methodologies or tools

What you bring

  • 5+ years experience in retail in a variety of merchandising, planning or supply chain roles

  • Strong knowledge of forecasting principles and a passion for consumer products & retail

  • Demonstrated experience managing the priorities and work of others

  • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of cause & effect impacts

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear & concise explanations and establish consensus

  • Outstanding Excel skills
