We are currently seeking a Manager, Brand Marketing who will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey. The Manager, Brand Marketing will support and own elements of execution of the Marketing Strategy for the Roots brand, globally.

The Manager, Brand Marketing for Roots will be responsible for the following:

Lead campaign Go-To-Market

  • Develop workbacks, identify and schedule all deadlines & deliverables required for execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional channels ensure a cohesive presentation of campaign in market across all customer touchpoints, acting as the primary liaison across teams
  • Review campaign assets for consistency & brand alignment
  • Own execution discussions with strategic brand partners, vendors and agencies
  • Continuously maintain marketing calendar and optimize campaign development methodology, improving timelines & streamlining approval processes
  • Foster a positive team culture of accountability, ownership & achievement, across Peers, cross functional leads and any direct reports.

Contribute to campaign and brand strategy

  • Contribute to the creation of compelling and insight driven marketing briefs in collaboration with Director of Brand Marketing that translate business goals into inspiring omnichannel programs
  • Ensure briefs, strategies and decisions are rooted in data to drive continuous improvement and brand relevancy
  • Support Brand Director with updated brand positioning, brand guidelines refresh, and consumer segmentation strategy leveraging research-led insights & data
  • Lead the brand's engagement in key cultural moments and conversations, ensuring relevance and resonance with target audiences in partnership with PR Director
  • Develop retailtainment strategy, enhancing in-store experiences to drive store traffic, engagement and conversion
  • Lead the strategy for sale calendar moments, including the creative rebranding and execution of promotional campaigns
  • Analyze brand and competitor performance across industry, categories, products and communications to recommend optimizations based on risks and opportunities

Business Support & Storytelling

  • Contribute to the development of post-mortems for large campaigns to share key learnings with cross functional team
  • Assist in the development of key presentations, decks and information tools used to support the business
  • Assist with management and execution of administrative tasks

Top candidates for the Manager, Brand Marketing role will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field plus a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience developing consumer product or apparel brands either in-house or at communications agency
  • Strategic & critical thinker with experience developing brand strategy, campaign & asset development, media planning and digital & physical execution
  • Exceptional time management, project management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to keep tasks on track & project management experience
  • Experience identifying opportunities from consumer and sales data to help drive strategy
  • Strong understanding of the consumer, consumer segmentation and devising strategies that engage and drive targeted results
  • Passion for fashion, retail and the outdoors a benefit
  • Understand and relish the opportunity to work with a cross functional team
