ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join us as the Senior Manager of Business Operations and Optimization, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and strategic growth. Reporting to the Director of Business Operations and Optimization, you'll oversee key business processes, ensuring they align with our organizational goals and implementing best practices to boost performance in our stores.

In this dynamic role, you'll lead exciting new projects, manage supplies and systems, and provide top-notch training and technical direction alongside our talented teams in the US and Canada. As the primary point of contact between stores and other business areas, you'll excel in delivering exceptional client service, fostering teamwork, and showcasing your outstanding communication skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Operational Efficiency:

  • Design, implement, and optimize business processes to boost productivity and cut costs
  • Identify payroll efficiencies with the Retail Labour Planning & Analytics team and achieve budget targets through regular reviews
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives for Sephora Stores, acting as the store expert and thought leader
  • Spot inefficiencies, propose solutions, and execute improvements
  • Manage daily operations, including strategy, partner management, training, store communication, and delivery

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and achieve business strategies and goals
  • Manage vendor relationships, streamline processes, and find cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Lead post-project reviews and action plans for continuous improvement

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate programs across Canadian stores and provide recommendations for operational improvements
  • Analyze P&L to develop strategies for expense management and boost shop profit results

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new retail-facing projects and programs
  • Participate in various initiatives identified by the Leadership Team and Director of Business Operations and Optimization
  • Advise on key optimization initiatives to ensure policy and procedure changes are effectively implemented in stores

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 4+ years of senior management experience in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment, driving results through cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong people leadership expertise, inspiring teams to drive success
  • Strong business acumen and technical expertise in retail operations
  • You give meaning to data - gathering and interpreting data and trends to make business recommendations
  • Ability to look beyond today and create new processes and standards to drive the business
  • Expert at adapting communication style to suit any audience, from Executive to operational teams, and excels at expressing ideas clearly and creatively in writing, conversation, and presentations
  • Ability to deliver impactful feedback that inspires and motivates team members at all levels within the organization
  • You excel at prioritizing and executing tasks with precision, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
  • Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time
