What you'll do

At its core, Canadian Tire Corporation is a data-driven organization that relies on analytical insights to drive key decisions. As a Sr Analyst, Digital Analytics & Validation, you will play a crucial role in supporting the evolution of digital product data management, governance, automation, and self-serve reporting. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing digital products (website, app , etc.) performance, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, integrating cross-platform data, conducting price intelligence analysis, and quickly responding to ad-hoc analytical requests to drive operational improvements and enhance the customer experience.

In this role, you'll do:

  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Respond quickly to ad-hoc analytical requests from various stakeholders. Provide timely and accurate insights to support decision-making processes.

  • Strategy and Analysis: Identify current state opportunities and industry trends to influence our strategy and program investments. Conduct data analysis to provide recommendations for improving the customer experience.

  • Data Quality Validation: Organize, clean, and validate raw data to ensure high-quality product information. Develop processes to maintain data integrity across various systems.

  • Issue Resolution: Take the initiative in identifying and resolving issues that arise during project implementation.

  • Cross-Platform Data Engineering: Integrate and process data from various platforms to create a unified view. Design and implement scalable data pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs.

  • Digital Flyer Analysis: Analyze digital flyer performance metrics to provide actionable insights. Identify trends and opportunities to enhance flyer effectiveness and customer engagement.

  • Price Intelligence Analysis: Conduct price intelligence analysis to monitor competitor pricing strategies. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize pricing strategies and improve competitive positioning.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Organize and lead presentations with cross-functional stakeholders at different levels within the organization. Adhere to structured project management methodologies while contributing to the management of key digital product projects.

What you bring

  • Proficiency in SQL; experience with Python/PySpark is an asset.

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of processes in areas such as Digital Products, Data Quality Management, Customer Experience (CX), Pricing Strategies.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant business or digital product experience, including previous project involvement.

  • Experience in cross-platform data engineering is preferred.

  • Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis quickly and accurately.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.

  • Proactive attitude with a commitment to achieving results through motivation and a sense of urgency.

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Familiarity with web technologies such as CSS and JavaScript is preferred.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Tableau, PowerBI is preferred.

  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Visio is advantageous.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage complex approaches effectively.

  • Effective communicator across different levels of the business.
