The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the marketing team in developing and executing email marketing communication plans. They will also be responsible for the liaison between stakeholders to ensure that the email calendar is adhered to. They are creative professional with a keen sense of humour and a passion for DAVIDsTEA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update the marketing email calendar
  • Coordinate all content supporting the email calendar with the tea content, marketing, and merchant teams
  • Assist with content strategy and calendar alignment with marketing targets both long term and short term
  • Work closely with the marketing manager and director to develop the email content strategy
  • Research and propose new email content ideas that support business objectives
  • Write all email briefs
  • Assist the creative teams in creating emails that perform
  • Coordinate the creation process and execution of email marketing campaigns
  • Liaison with social, marketing, and web teams to ensure content is consistent and shared across all platforms
  • Optimize content according to SEO to drive customer engagement on our ecommerce platforms
  • Ensure that all content is approved by the customer experience and store operations teams
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian and US regulations
  • Execute quality assurance and testing for email blasts, including creative sign off
  • Work cross-functionally with teams to improve current email marketing and digital marketing content
  • Monitor and make recommendations based on the performance of emails
  • Partner with team to gather information on performance, the customer journey and create timely and personalized CRM campaigns
  • Create automated processes (workflow / journey) for email campaigns
  • Work closely with the CRM team for the weekly dashboard report
  • Collaborate with CRM and marketing teams to identify and develop segmented journey emails.

Requirements

  • Degree in marketing, advertising, or equivalent field
  • 2-4 years experience in email campaign marketing communications in retails the retail industry (mandatory)
  • Experience with Clavio and Shopify
  • Knowledge of Bronto ESP (and other email platforms), and Google Analytics is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of internal teams
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to provide detailed reporting performance evaluations of digital marketing campaigns
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
