About the role

As a Retail Designer, you will take charge of collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to create compelling product displays, mocking up innovative store layouts, and establishing a cohesive and impactful brand image given Marketing visuals. This role requires a strong design background, visionary mindset, with strong creativity, attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills. Problem-solving and constant feedback from a team will help create effective sales displays.

You will work collaboratively with the store management team, planning, allocation, merchandising, and buyers, bringing your strategic insights and expertise to develop visually striking displays that attract customers and drive sales. With a thorough understanding of our target audience and store experience, you will adapt visual strategies to create memorable shopping experiences customized store by store, as needed.

The role will be in our Marketing and Design department but will have multiple cross-functional interaction including visiting stores regularly and coordinating between office-based teams and in-store field teams, to validate success of design and set-ups.

Responsibilities

• Create store signage both digital and print assets, as needed to communicate product prices, compelling marketing visuals and storytelling;
• Design and implement visually appealing displays to attract customers and enhance sales;
• Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to ensure cohesive branding and effective product presentation;
• Set visual floor standards for the store and trained the Sales Support Team members and sales associates on proper merchandise placement and presentation;
• Review sales data and customer feedback to refine visual strategies and displays;
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor strategies to ensure a competitive edge;
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines in all visual installations;
• Manage the budget and allocate resources effectively for impactful visual merchandising initiatives;
• Create engaging displays that enhance the customer experience and drive sales;
• Act as a change agent within the organization, bringing fresh ideas and methodologies to enhance the visual merchandising process and customer experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years in Design, with exposure and relevant Retail Marketing roles or in a similar role within the retail industry;
• Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and retail design;
• Exceptional creativity with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics;
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams;
• Knowledge of current retail trends, visual merchandising technologies, and best practices;
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and visual merchandising tools is a plus.
