Job Summary

The Marketing Manager is responsible for curating brand awareness and sentiment through strategic marketing initiatives both in Canada and the US to drive customer acquisition, sales and traffic to the DAVIDsTEA website and stores. They are responsible for maintaining and executing relationships alongside business partners while simultaneously developing programs to increase revenue and market opportunities with partners. Working cross-functionally to conceptualize and bring marketing activities to life in a 360 approach, this role elevates the brand while making mutually beneficial decisions for both internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and quantify new business opportunities to enable DAVIDsTEA’ s growth in both US and Canada;
  • Follow company brand calendar, develop and execute brand partnerships, events, direct marketing, traditional advertising and retail marketing activities in Canada and the US to achieve significant increases in traffic and brand awareness;
  • Continually assess DAVIDsTEA’s marketing programs to build additional demand creation opportunities that will elevate our global performance;
  • Contribute to the creation of the annual marketing plan while developing best practices and defining key KPIs for managing success;
  • Lead, develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors and suppliers, including monthly & quarterly touch points;
  • Make strategic recommendations based on business needs and results;
  • Own all reporting & build post-mortems to share wins and opportunities, and ensure marketing activities are performing to optimal levels;
  • Liaise with internal cross-functional teams to successfully launch brand partnerships across product, marketing, design, social media, customer service, planning, corporate, IT and store operations;
  • Support PR, Influencer and Wholesale marketing needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study;
  • 3-5 years+ of Marketing management experience;
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports;
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop appropriate action plans for direct and all marketing, and ability to curate post-mortems and reporting on appropriate KPIs;
  • Strong ability to multi-task and maintain overall organization for brand partnerships as a whole;
  • Superior presentation and facilitation skills;
  • Experience in Social Media, PR & Events an asset;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, conveying the spirit and passion of DAVIDsTEA;
  • Self-starter who is able to manage and coordinate projects and initiatives from start to finish;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organization;
  • Relevant work experience in 360 marketing;
  • Passion and enthusiasm for brand and growth in Canada, US and beyond;
  • Must possess a “can do” attitude.
